Catalonia municipal radio station Radio Rubi decided to install an AEQ FORUM SPLIT digital console in its main broadcast studio as part of their most recent technical renovation.
Founded in November 1979, Radio Rubi offering citizens a diverse programming that includes news, sports, cultural content and spaces for neighborhood participation.
Since its beginnings, Radio Rubi has relied on AEQ technology, incorporating solutions such as audiocodecs and automation systems. As a local public broadcaster, its technical needs are focused on robust equipment, easy to operate and with a good quality-price ratio, conditions that AEQ has been able to meet over the years.
In its most recent technical renovation, the management of Radio Rubi chose to install AEQ FORUM SPLIT digital console in its main broadcast studio. The decision was based on its ease of use, operational reliability and high audio quality. Designed specifically for live broadcast control, AEQ FORUM IP integrates all the essential functions for this type of environment: automatic monitor cut, cough muting button, automatic activation with faders (faderstart), signaling control, control signals for automation of external equipment, management of external communications and intercom systems, among other features.
With a modular design and compact form factor, AEQ FORUM console easily adapts to a wide variety of environments: from studios in self-monitoring and control-locutory mode, to broadcast production controls, sound production or large facility integrations with mixed configurations. Its combination of operational simplicity and advanced control capabilities allows it to meet both basic and more demanding needs.
FORUM IP SPLIT version incorporates the FR CORE modular engine, housed in a three rack unit chassis. This configuration can include up to six quad fader modules, plus a dedicated control and monitoring unit.
The AEQ FORUM console can be equipped with multichannel audio over IP (AoIP) input and output cards, compatible with the AES67 protocol using DANTE technology. This connectivity allows exchanging signals with other consoles, routers and input and output devices from more than 300 different manufacturers, facilitating a flexible integration in complex professional environments. Alternatively, MADI connectivity is also available, and the console can incorporate up to two internal digital telephone hybrids.
